Jagua Tattoo Kits
Complete jagua tattoo kits with everything you need to create realistic temporary tattoos at home. Our kits include ready-to-use gel, stencils, applicators and detailed instructions. Perfect if you've never used jagua before.
What's in a jagua tattoo kit?
Our jagua tattoo kits are designed for people who want to try jagua without buying everything separately. Each kit contains fresh jagua gel (already mixed and ready to use), application tools, stencils, and step-by-step instructions. No experience needed.
Unlike some kits that make you mix powder yourself, ours come with pre-made gel in sealed bottles. You literally just open it and start creating. The kits range from 10ml (enough for around 4-5 designs) to 30ml (around 15-20 designs depending on size).
What you get in each kit
The essentials
Every jagua tattoo kit includes:
- Fresh jagua gel: Pre-mixed and ready to use. No powder mixing, no guesswork about consistency. Just open and apply.
- Applicator bottles with precision tips: Fine nozzles for detailed work. You control the flow and line thickness.
- Stencil sheets: Pre-designed patterns you can use straight away. Good for getting started before you try freehand.
- Transfer paper: For creating custom designs or tracing patterns onto skin before applying gel.
- Application guide: Clear instructions on prep, application, and aftercare. Includes timing, storage tips, and troubleshooting.
Kit sizes available
10ml kit: Good for trying it out. Makes 4-5 small to medium designs. Perfect if you're testing whether jagua is for you.
20ml kit: More gel, more designs (around 8-10). Better value if you know you'll use it multiple times or want to practice.
30ml kit: The full experience. Enough for 15-20 designs. Best for sharing with friends, parties, or if you're planning regular use.
Who are these kits for?
Complete beginners
Never touched jagua before? These kits are built for you. Everything's included and the instructions are written for people with zero experience. You'll go from opening the box to having a tattoo on your skin in about 20 minutes.
People testing tattoo ideas
Thinking about getting a real tattoo but not 100% sure about the design or placement? Jagua tattoo kits let you live with the design for 1-2 weeks before committing to permanent ink. Much smarter than rushing into something you might regret.
Events and occasions
Festivals, hen parties, photo shoots, themed events. Jagua tattoos look incredibly realistic in photos and last through the weekend without fading or smudging (once they've developed). The kits make it easy to do multiple people quickly.
Creative experimentation
If you just like changing your look or trying new designs regularly, jagua tattoo kits give you that flexibility. Create something different every couple of weeks without any long-term commitment.
Using your jagua tattoo kit
First time setup
Open the kit and check everything's there. If the gel has been refrigerated or frozen (which is normal for fresh jagua), let it thaw at room temperature for 20-30 minutes. Don't rush this or the consistency will be wrong.
Skin prep
Wash the area you're tattooing with soap and water. Dry it completely. Any moisture, oils, or lotions will block the stain from developing properly. If you've never used jagua before, do a small patch test on your inner arm 48 hours beforehand to check for reactions.
Applying the design
You can either use the included stencils or go freehand. For stencils, place them on your skin and fill in the design with gel from the applicator bottle. For freehand, draw directly onto skin – practice on paper first if you're nervous about messing up.
The gel needs to stay on your skin and dry completely. This takes 30-45 minutes. Don't touch it, don't move too much, and definitely don't let fabric rub against it. Once dry, leave it on for at least 2 hours (longer = darker stain). Some people leave it on for 6 hours.
Removal and development
Wash off the dried gel with warm water. At this point your design will look really faint – almost invisible. This is normal. Over the next 12-24 hours it'll darken to a deep blue-black. Full colour develops within 48 hours. The tattoo will naturally fade over 1-2 weeks.
Kit vs buying gel separately
If you already have applicators, stencils, and know what you're doing, buying jagua gel on its own is more economical. But if this is your first time or you don't have any tools, the kit is much easier. You'd end up spending similar money buying everything separately anyway, plus you'd have to figure out what you actually need.
The kits are genuinely designed for people who want a simple, straightforward introduction to jagua without researching applicator sizes, stencil types, or mixing ratios. Just open and go.
Common questions about the kits
Do I need to mix anything?
No. The gel comes ready to use in sealed bottles. Some kits (like Jacquard) make you mix powder with water and essential oils yourself. Ours don't. It's already done.
How long does the gel last once opened?
If you keep it refrigerated or frozen, the gel lasts 6-12 months. Once you've opened a bottle, use it within a month if kept in the fridge. Don't leave it at room temperature for long periods.
Can I use my own designs instead of the stencils?
Absolutely. The stencils are there if you want them, but you can draw freehand or create your own transfers using the transfer paper included in the kit. The gel works the same way regardless of how you apply it.
Is it safe for sensitive skin?
Jagua is natural and generally safe, but people with tropical fruit allergies or very sensitive skin should patch test first. Don't use it on broken skin, eczema, or if you're pregnant/breastfeeding. The kits include full safety information.
What if I mess up during application?
Wipe it off immediately with a damp cloth. Jagua stains fast, so the sooner you catch mistakes, the better. Once it's been on the skin for more than a few minutes, you're basically committed to that design.
Can kids use these kits?
We don't recommend jagua for anyone under 12. Even for teens, adult supervision is a good idea for the first few times to make sure they're doing patch tests and following safety guidelines.
How many designs can I make with one kit?
Depends on the kit size and how big your designs are. The 10ml kit does roughly 4-5 small-medium tattoos. 20ml does 8-10. 30ml does 15-20. These are estimates – intricate detailed work uses more gel than simple outlines.
Making your jagua tattoo last
Once the stain has developed (after 24-48 hours), keep the area moisturised with natural oils like coconut or jojoba. Avoid exfoliating that spot and try not to soak it in chlorinated water if you want it to last the full 2 weeks. Regular washing is fine – jagua stains the skin cells, not the surface, so it won't wash off with soap.

Ready to start?
Choose your kit size based on how much you think you'll use it. If you're unsure, start with the 10ml kit – it's enough to try it properly without committing to a larger quantity. Once you've finished it and know you like jagua, you can either buy another kit or just get refill gel on its own.
